I got a fix buddy, do this: go into steam common folder, find the gata-sa.exe, right click, properites, compatibility, run in windows xp service pack 2, disable visual themes and desktop composition, run as admin. now everything works fine. Running the game in compatibility mode is a quick way around this If the GTA San Andreas mouse is not working, it might be because of compatibility issues. One quick way to fix this is to download and run the original Steam.exe files. Another effective solution if the San Andreas mouse is not Go "program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\GTA SA\" right click on "gta-sa.exe" set compatibility to 'Windows 98 / Windows Me'. It was matter of compatibility, I guess. Doesn't work for me either. Garbage. Usually clears up for me when I do the Shift+Tab thing to open the steam overlay. Works for me as well on Vice City. It's not a Trojan, if it was it wouldn't be on the Steam Store and owned by thousands, I have done a scan of this game and it's clean, Kaspersky gives out a false positive for many games such as hl2.exe etc. I don't believe someone is family sharing it to you. Send me a copy of your gta-sa.exe and we will see if it's a pirated or a Steam copy. But I think a working gamepad with two analogue sticks would have made the race easier. I wasn't sure if PC gamepads worked in GTA San Andreas, because it doesn't recognize rudder or accelleration controls on a PC joystick. Edited July 8, 2005 by teh roxxors. Ok so I have GTA San Andreas installed from Steam, did not play it for a while since there was no option for 1080p display setting and I tried to use a converter to "downgrade" to an older version but it did not start. Ok so I started it with the original .exe and there was a 1080p resolution option now, nice!
